Zdjęcia dla mamy

We were able to get a better look at the progress with the electrical and plumbing fit offs this afternoon. The poor electrician and his apprentice were still there at 5:30 and had hours of work left to go still. We could see a lot of work still needed to be done. I felt pretty bad for them, especially as we were driving away and it was getting really dark.

It's still been pretty stressful for us, we've been told that we have to keep all of the lights and things that weren't meant to be ordered by Coral. It's pretty disappointing as it's about $800 worth of stuff that we don't need or want. We'll see what we can do about it, but we don't really want to push the point.

Anyway, here are some pictures:

  2. Really starting to look like a house now that's for sure! I love the shape of your bathroom basins, very interesting and a little different. Don't you love how much mess is on your tiles, I was constantly sweeping but towards the end I realised I was fighting a never ending battle and couldn't be bothered anymore! You did things the smart way and are getting all of your lights etc put in now. We've got a few sparky mates who will change over when we're ready but it would have been nice to have had it all done from the start. I really like your downlights - the ones in your bedroom & outdoor - are they from Beacon? Do you mind passing on the name to me? Thanks, Em x

    1. Hey Em,
The downlights are called 'Neptune Round Downlight', they are on sale at the moment too! They are usually $19.95 each, we paid $17.95 but I think there's another $5 off at the moment. http://www.beaconlighting.com.au/neptune-round-downlight-in-brushed-chrome.html We chose them because they are a bit larger so they can fit any normal sized light bulb, they aren't as cute as the teeny tiny little downlights though. We wanted silver to match everything else, but we do wonder now if we should have chosen the white ones.

    2. The downlights we have are not like the typical downlights you see in display homes. They are not the small gu11 halogen socket, they fit a normal screw light bulb EXCEPT it has to be 20W or less, so only the fluoro, LED, and halogen versions of the bulbs will suit (which is good anyway, since the older style of light bulb is going to be outlawed). 20W is actually a lot more powerful than a typical downlight, and of course you can use a bulb with less wattage anyway.
See our 'plans' and 'selection' pages too.
